Dinner at the House of Lords

In Past Events by ashepherdiwfs

We are delighted to offer our members and their guests a very special dinner to remember – a dinner in the House of Lords.

Thanks to the generosity of our host, the Lord Ranger of Mayfair CBE,
we will be holding a meal, right in the heart of Government – within the Palace of Westminster.

We intend to commence the evening with a reception, followed by a three-course dinner, naturally with wine – ending with coffee or tea. Rami (a personal friend of the organiser) will speak a little on how he came as a child to this country with nothing, and became one of the most successful Asian businessmen in the country, the only man to have won the Queen’s award for Enterprise in International Trade no less than five times.

Naturally security is tight within the Palace so each guest will need to bring photo-id with them. We are likely to enter the Palace via Black Rod’s entrance and each attendee will need to have a personal invitation from the Organiser which will be sent to them prior to the event (either by post or email).

The menu may vary as the winter selection becomes available, but currently we plan for

Suffolk Baron Bigod Cheese & Lincolnshire Leek Double Baked Souffle

Herb-Crusted Herefordshire Sirloin with Aylesford cauliflower and Wookey Hole cheese gratin, haggis bon bon, roasted root vegetables and Bordelaise sauce

Cherry & Vanilla Crème Brulee Tart with poached cherries and chocolate ice cream
