The tasting kicks off with two wines from recent vintages that exemplify the Napa terroir for punchy yet complex cabernet sauvignon. The evening then moves into high gear with some of Napa’s premiere names that represent the rich history and diverse expressions of the region, all drinking beautifully now. The selection includes storied vineyards, a winery that beat the French in the ‘Judgment of Paris’, a garagist wine, and the most celebrated pioneer of modern Napa winemaking.
The eight wines are as follows:
Louis Martini Napa Valley 2016
Grgich Hills 2015
Anderson Conn Creek – Eloge 2006
Portfolio 2005
Chateau Montelena 2004
Philip Togni 2003
Fisher Lamb Vineyard – Coach Insignia 2003
Robert Mondavi Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2001
The tasting will be led by Phillip Kim, and accompanied by bread, cold meats and cheese.
