Chris Davenport-Jones has recently purchased a case of Georgian Wines specially for the IWFS to be shown at this tasting, which will be conducted at his home.
The country has been making strides in improving its wines, which can now be found for sale in a few UK wine outlets. They are tending to make special wines from old grape varieties which have historical interest for their own population. Most of these will be unfamiliar, although some may of heard of Kvevri, THE specialist wine which is fermented in underground amphorae.
