After phyloxerra devastated the vineyards in the 19th century, Elie Dussaud decided not to replant, and sold the land in 1909 to Pierre Tramier,  He rebuilt it, and then passed to his son in law Pierre Perrin, and it has been in the family ever since.  It has been totally organic since 1974.
