Back in 2020, we sadly lost one of the stalwarts of the London Branch of the IWFS in Carole Goldberg. Always unpredictable, sometimes challenging, Carole was tremendously enthusiastic about the Society and over the years had organised many memorable tastings.

Roger Ellis was the Executor of her Will and inherited much of her extensive, but somewhat eccentric, wine collection. He thought that, in Carole’s memory, we would conduct tastings of some of her wines. The first such tasting was held in 2022. This is the third.

However, like Carole, these wines are also somewhat unpredictable. Until we open the bottle, we will not know how well these wines have stood the test of time. But there could well be some real gems in here – or maybe not! Committee member Rachel Burnett has kindly offered to lead the tasting – so come and join us on a journey of discovery.

This time we have selected a variety of red wines from her varied collection.
