The first M restaurant opened in 2015 and won the ‘Best New Restaurant 2015’ and ‘Best Sommelier’ categories in the Harper Awards. This was followed by the opening of the M Victoria venue in 2016 that has already been shortlisted for the ‘Best New Opening 2016’ award.
I have had the great pleasure to work with the owner Martin Williams and the Director of Wines, Zack Charilaou, to put together a Masterclass based around some of the best that Argentina (one of the six countries that M specializes in) has to offer for the member’s pleasure and education. The Masterclass will be hosted by Zack himself and he will guide us through everything from the bread, to the farms, to the aging of the beef, to how the beef should be cooked, to the fat content and how that impacts on the flavor, and not forgetting everything about the fine wines that we will have the opportunity to enjoy, including the altitude, the latitude, history, wine making methods, and most importantly the culture.
