This tasting starts off horizontal and ends up vertical! We start with four great Mosel-Saar-Ruver Riesling ausleses from top producers of the superb 2005 vintage, which Prüm think is the best in living memory. The Goldkapsel is a rarity. Then we nip off to South Africa for a classic Nederburg Noble Harvest 1987, and finish with five examples of the famous Château Rieussec Sauternes, eastern neighbour of Château d’Yquem, from 1983 to 2011.
