A tasting of some of the best mature Chilean wines, especially from Cousiño-Macul, mainly from the early 2000’s.
How well do Chilean wines age? Here is a rare opportunity for you to come and taste older Chilean from top producers for yourself! Almost none are now available that old in the UK. In 2003, in the high-domed, brick-vaulted winery of Cousiño-Macul, the organiser fell in love with Sauvignon Gris wines, from a richer, juicier grape than Sauvignon Blanc. At the time, the classic Cousiño vineyards were making way for the expanding suburbs of Santiago, so these older Maipo Valley wines are unrepeatable. We have three dry whites, six big dry reds and a sweet finish.
