There are many grapes and styles of wine that will partner particular kinds of game. It also depends on the specific game and cuisine, as to which are appropriate.
I have chosen three wines that should be available from your local Majestic, that I hope you will find interesting. These wines can be enjoyed on their own or with other food, so do come along and try them.
Alternatively or in addition, if you wish to bring along other wines, perhaps that you would match with game, or which are similar in any way to my selections, please do!
If you place an order for at least six wines with your local Majestic by telephone, they will deliver to you, and the wines will be at a discounted price (which is the price shown below, but this may change).
- Barolo Araldica 2016, Piedmont £15.99
- Gigondas E Guigal 2016 Rhone Valley £19.99
- Jaboulet Viognier 2019, France £8.99
Entirely optionally, you might find that having to hand such delicacies as venison sausages, game pie, game pâté or terrine, might be helpful as we go.
The tasting will be led by Rachel Burnett.
There is no charge for this event, but pre-registration is required.
Near the date we will email you a link for you to join the meeting, and a tasting sheet.
