Join us for a New Year Curry Lunch at this well-known restaurant.
The Punjab Restaurant, in the heart of London Theatreland, is the first and oldest Punjabi and North Indian Restaurant in the UK. It was founded by Sardar Gurbachan Singh Maan in 1946 and it is still owned by the same Maan family, now in its fourth generation. The food is traditional Punjabi. The restaurant is particularly proud of its links to the Armed Forces, and hosts numerous regimental dinners.
We will be in one of the private dining rooms. A glass of Sparkling Wine will be served on arrival. The menu will be:
Poppadums and chutney
Pakora, Samosa, Kadu Puri & Aloo Tiki
Archarri Chicken, Methi Gosht, and Butter Chicken
Channa Masala and Gobi Aloo
Rice and Naan bread
Choice of Dessert
Tea or coffee
There will be a short wine-tasting presented by Jack Wild of Boutinot Wines, who have a longstanding relationship with the restaurant. Jack will say something about matching wine with Indian food, and will present a selection of appropriate wines. Attendees can choose their preferred wine to accompany the meal. ____________________________________________________________
