What better for a light-hearted wine tasting in June than to try rosé wines? Especially by comparing different styles and regions, rosés made from various grapes – and accompanied as we go by a selection of small tasting samples of food recommended for the particular wines (except for the last, these are dry), such as olives, chicken, prawns strawberries, to see whether we agree.

It is hoped to taste the following:

Graham Beck Brut Rosé NV (South Africa)
Chapel Down Rosé Brut NV (Kent)
Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo, Contesa 2018 (Tuscany)
Peyrassol, Réserve des Templiers Rosé 2018 Côtes de Provence
The Ned Rosé 2018 Waihopai River, Marlborough (New Zealand)
Koyle Reserve Rosado Flor de Laberinto 2019 (Chile)
Tavel Cuvée Prima Donna Rosé Domaine Maby 2018 (Rhône)
Domaine Gros Nore Bandol Rosé 2016 (Provence)
Barefoot White Zinfandel (California)

We will round off the evening with a bread and cheese supper and Minervois, Plaisir d’Eulalie, Château Sainte-Eulalie 2018, a red wine from the South of France.
