Those of you who attended the Savoie and Corsican evenings will know all about Laurent Faure’s rustic regional dinners with matching food and wine. This time he is offering us local specialities from the Rhone.
We will start with a glass of Crémant de Savoie (first time in the UK) as aperitif, followed by:
Ravioles du Dauphiné A ravioli of paté, cheese and parsley, produced in the village of Romans-sur-Iseré.
Poultry with Wild Mushrooms and Gratin Dauphinois
Cheese; St Marcellin and St Félicien
These will be accompanied by two white wines from Crozes Hermitage and St Joseph, and three red wines from Crozes Hermitage, St Joseph and Châteuneuf-du-Pape.
These evenings have been much enjoyed by those attending them in the past, and this is bound to be no exception.
