Champagne Route is an independent importer of Growers champagnes, cremants and wines from France, based in London Dock on the site that was News International in Wapping, not all that far from Tower Bridge. The premises have been established for several years as part of the new development and offer champagne tastings and an excellent restaurant, as well as being available for private functions. The restaurant is one of the Frawleys’ favourites.
We will be starting with a glass of Pinot Meunier based Brut Nature champagne from Moutard Père et Fils, and are hoping to have a member of the Moutard fanily to tell us all about it.
Paul, the proprietor and our knowledgeable host for the evening, will talk us through the wines accompanying our meal.
The menu will be as follows:
Salmon tartare, avocado, potato chips with a Bourgogne Chardonnay
Confit duck leg, kale, pommes anna, cherry sauce with a Bourgogne Pinot Noir
Cheesecake with elderberry sauce with a demi sec sparkling wine or chamapagne
Please let Simon know if you have any particular dietary requirements or dislikes.
