The Naval Club
Once again Paul Mapplebeck has come up with an interesting selection of wines, including the 1990 Chateau Montrose, which he has agreed to share with us at a very reasonable price.
The wines are as follows:
2016 Ch Saint-Jean-des-Graves (Pomerol)
2009 Ch Poujeaux (Moulis)
2005 Ch Fleur Cardinale (St Emilion GC – since promoted)
2005 Ch Lynch Moussas (Pauillac)
2003 Ch Beychevelle (St Julien)
2001 Ch Lamande (St Emilion Grand Cru Classé)
1998 Ch Haut Bailly (Pessac-Leognan)
1990 Ch Montrose (St Estephe)
Paul, as some members know, is very entertaining and extremely knowledgeable. This is a rare opportunity to taste the 1990 Chateau Montrose which Robert Parker has given 100 points.
The tasting will be followed by a delicious cold supper.
