– Are Robert Parker’s Markings Still Valid?Date/Time
Date(s) - Tue 3rd Sep, 2019
The Naval Club
The great wine critic Robert Parker is now retired, leaving some wine collectors with wine whose value depended upon his markings. But wine changes with time, and not everybody agrees with his views anyway. Now we have the opportunity to check for ourselves. Paul Mapplebeck will once again entertain us while tasting a selection of wines chosen by him to illustrate this premise. These include a 1990 Chateau Montrose (St Estephe) at 100 points and 1986 Leoville-Lascases (St Julien) at 100 points.
The list is As follows:
A mystery white
2005 Ch. Siran (Margaux) – 89
2003 Ch. Chasse Spleen Moulis – 86
2002 Ch. Leoville Payferre (St. Julien) – 90
2000 Ch. de Fieuzal (Pessac-Leognan) – 93
2000 Ch. Lascombes (Margaux) – 92
1998 Ch. Haut-Bailly (Pessac-Leognan) – 93
1990 Ch. Montrose (St. Estephe) – 100
1986 Ch. Leoville-Lascases (St. Julien) – 100
It will be followed by another delicious supper cooked by Chef Ann Marie.
