Bordeaux 2005 Revisited
The first of a pair of tastings from Richard Jackson’s cellarDate/Time
Date(s) - Tue 29th Jan, 2019
M, Zig Zag Building
Weather conditions produced a vintage that at the time was hailed by many wine professionals as one of the best in modern times.
In two tastings over the first and second quarters of 2019 we have the opportunity to reassess and appreciate this great vintage.
Over these two tastings we will offer eighteen wines from the vintage to allow for reflection on whether time and maturity is delivering the promise offered at the time the vintage was released.
The nine following wines presented in the first part of these tastings include wines from both Pessac-Leognan and the Right Bank, considered to be the two best appellations of the vintage.
Three of the wines were awarded 100 points by Robert Parker.
Chateau Mission Haut-Brion
Chateau Leoville Las Cases
Chateau Pichon Longueville Comtesse
Chateau La Lagune
Chateau Vray Croix de Gay
