Bordeaux 2005 Revisited – Part 2
The second part of the tasting of mature Bordeaux wines from Richard Jackson’s cellar.Date/Time
Date(s) - Thu 9th May, 2019
M, Zig Zag Building
Weather conditions produced a vintage that at the time was hailed by many wine professionals as one of the best in modern times.
In two tastings over the first and second quarters of 2019 we have the opportunity to reassess and appreciate this great vintage.
Over these two tastings we have offered eighteen wines from the vintage to allow for reflection on whether time and maturity is delivering the promise offered at the time the vintage was released.
The nine following wines presented in the second part of these tastings include three first growths that have received superlative professional reviews at tastings during the last fifteen years.
Chateau Lafite Rothschild
Chateau Ducru Beaucaillou
Chateau Cos d’Estournel
Chateau Gruard Larose
Chateau Duhart Milon
Chateau Chasse Spleen
All the wines included in these two tastings are offered from a members cellar having been purchased en primeur.
