Continuing our foray into Italian wines, and by way of contrast, we will taste three quite different wines:
- Wine from a native white grape grown in North West Italy
- Wine from a native red grape grown in Sicily
- A red wine from North East Italy made by the ‘ripasso’ technique.
Do join us at this Zoom tasting, to share tasting experiences – as much or as little as you want to contribute – and perhaps learn a little about these Italian wines.
I’ve chosen the wines from what is on the current Majestic list, but general availability cannot be guaranteed. (If you place an order for at least six wines with your local Majestic by telephone, they will deliver to you, and the wines will be at a discounted price – the price shown below, which may change.)
Gavi, from the Cortese grape
La Toledana Gavi di Gavi DOCG 2018 £12.99
La Raia ‘Il Borgo’ Gavi 2019 £11.99

As before, I’ve underlined the type of wine we’ll be discussing and tasting, in case you look elsewhere, or you already have some to bring along. (The Wine Society has examples on its current list.) Please feel free to do so, and if you would like to email me in advance about your choice, or with any queries, please do!
There is no charge for this event, but pre-registration is required.
Looking forward to the tasting, which will be led by me, Rachel Burnett [email protected]
Near the date we will email you a link for you to join the meeting, and a tasting sheet.
Bookings are closed for this event. Please contact the organiser for last-minute places.
