A Tasting of Fine 1996 Clarets

Join us for an interesting tasting of mature wines from the left bank districts of Bordeaux.   They are all from the 1996 vintage and well-known chateaux.

Thanks to the generosity of our member Lancelot Jaundoo, we are able to bring you this great tasting of fine 1996 clarets.   We will be tasting the following:

Sociando Mallet, Haut Medoc
Haut-Bailly, Pessac-Leognan, Graves
Rauzan-Segla, Margaux

Duhart-Milon Rothschild, Pauillac
Grand-Puy-Lacoste, Pauillac
Pichon Longueville Lalande , Pauillac

Clos du Marquis, Saint-Julien
Léoville Barton, Saint-Julien
Ducru-Beaucaillou, Saint-Julien

Cos d’Estournel, Saint-Estephe

The tasting will be led by Chris Davenport Jones and held at the Army and Navy Club.   It will be accompanied by a cold buffet.
