Many of you will remember the late Hugo Dunn-Meynell in his capacity as Chairman of the IWFS.  His wife Tish Dunn-Meynell has been kind enough to donate the fortified wines that we will be featuring at tonight’s dinner, hosted by Chris Davenport Jones.

We will start with a tasting of two white and two red wines to accompany the meal, and then progress to the fortified wines, which will mostly be tasted with cheese.  We will have a 50 year old Madeira, a Malmsey, and several ports, which will include Cockburn 67, Warre 75 and some unknown vintages, and may provide an interesting surprise.

The event will be held at the home of Chris and Marigold Davenport Jones, and we can be sure of a great evening.  We are limited to eight places, so please book straight away if you would like to come.
