Once again we have decided to hold our Christmas celebration in January, because it enables us to offer better venues at a more reasonable price.
We are returning to the Savile Club, where we have had excellent meals in the past, and which has offered us a particularly good deal on this occasion. This is an opportunity to dine in an exclusive private club, which numbers famous writers and artists among its members, and is housed in a fine 18th Century building. The rooms have recently been refurbished and we will be dining in the Drawing Room.
We will start our evening with a sparkling wine and canapés. This will be followed by a seasonal three course meal, to be selected by the chef nearer the time, ending with coffee and chocolates. For the main course there will be a choice of meat or fish, and also a vegetarian option. The Club has an excellent cellar, and the wines are expected to include Macon Uchizy 2015 and Ch Beauregard-Ducourt, Bordeaux 2012.
This is an opportunity to dine in one of London’s most exclusive clubs.
Some members of the Society’s Europe Africa Committee will be joining us for this event.
