Many of you will remember the great events organised by Richard Duncan and Andrew Brodie, where a tasting of great wines from Richard’s cellar was followed by a wine tasting dinner featuring wines from the same stable. These have attracted many favourable comments, and Richards has kindly agreed to do another. This time we will be using Richard’s enthusiasm for Bordeaux and Rhône wines and his cellar to source the very high quality wines we have come to expect. Once again the chef at the Naval Club has joined with our enthusiasm, and constructed a matching menu.
We will be tasting a selection of six wines from the 1989 vintage
in Bordeaux and The Rhône. Then for the dinner, we will have:
Salmon Ceviche with Avocado Purée and Crème Fraîche
Rully “Le Meix Cadots” Vieille Vignes 1er Cru 2009 – Dureuil-Janthial

Whole Saddle of Rabbit stuffed with Black Pudding, wrapped in Pancetta with Creamed Onion and Rosemary, Parmentier Potatoes and Prune Sauce
